"Voice dialogue" is a term that could mean many different things to different people. In our work, we understand voice dialogue in the broadest sense, to encompass a range of ways in which someone might interact, dialogue, or engage with voices, voice-like experiences or unusual thoughts and/or other beings, spiritual entities or ghosts. Such interactions could be direct, such as a voice hearers talking with her voices, or mediated by another individual such as a therapist who talks to or engages a client's voices.
Broadly speaking, the diverse range of "voice dialogue" experiences is not well understand, and our aim is to generate innovative and nuanced research projects that honor a diversity of perspectives and allow us to explore questions that have not previously been asked, and better understand strategies for changing distressing relationships and healing.
We welcome direct interest in research projects in addition to direct participation in an open ended survey that provides an anonymous venue for voice hearers/experiencers to let us know what they think is important.
